Quincy city councilors will reconvene within the next few weeks to take another look at a proposal for an Asian supermarket in North Quincy. The council met about the application in 2009 and denied the project due to its size and concerns about traffic. The applicant, C-Mart owner Miao Kun “Michael” Fang, then took the case to Land Court, alleging that the process was unjust. Fang and the city agreed to redo the process, and Fang resubmitted the application on Jan. 11. The city has 65 days to hold a public hearing. Currently, a peer review is looking at the applicant’s traffic study. The 74,000-square-foot grocery store and warehouse would be located in the former Boston Gear Works at 10 Hayward St., which is near the MBTA’s Red Line and Hannaford Supermarket.
