Race shaping up for selectman

Three residents — Joe Rebello, David Kennedy, and Norman Harbinson — have taken out nomination papers to run for the selectman’s seat currently held by Joe Casna. Rebello is stepping down as the town’s chief of police after 8 years. Kennedy, a procurement consultant for a health insurance provider, currently serves on the town’s Finance Committee. Harbinson has served the town as a recreation commissioner. Casna, the current chairman of the Board of Selecmen, has not taken out nomination papers to run for reelection. The last date for candidates to take out papers to run for office in the April 27 town election is March 7.
