Pembroke

Special Town Meeting on Tuesday

Three articles are on tap when special Town Meeting convenes on Tuesday at 7:30 p.m. at the middle school, 559 School St. The first proposes that the town rescind 11 borrowing authorizations made previously by Town Meeting for various capital projects. The amounts remaining are no longer needed for the original requests. The second article seeks a $125,000 appropriation to fund the engineering costs for installing a traffic light and making other improvements at the intersection of Washington and Pleasant streets. The third is a proposed zoning bylaw that would allow medical marijuana dispensaries to locate only in the area of town Pembroke previously established as an adult entertainment zone, which is on the east side of Route 3.
