Last weekend’s hike was canceled because of winter storm Nemo, but the town’s guided winter hikes will continue this Saturday with two hikes through Sampson Park, a 1-mile loop and a 2.5-mile loop on town conservation land. Both begin at 10 a.m. at the park’s Elm Street parking lot. The hikes are led by the Kingston Conservation Commission, and all ages are welcome. Participants must pre-register with the Recreation Department (www.kingstonrec.com/programs.html). There is a $5 fee per family. Hikes are also scheduled for March 9 at Patuxet Park and March 23 at Bay Farm conservation area.
