Entries accepted for logo contest

Entries from artists of all ages are being accepted until 5 p.m. March 31 for a logo contest for the Easton Shovel Town Cultural District. Informational packets are available at Easton Town Hall and the Ames Free Library, or by e-mailing Carolyn Cole, chairwoman of the district subcommittee, at The new district will be located within the North Easton Historical District, from the Corner of Elm and Main streets south to Washington Street. Its purpose is to create foot traffic and business activity in Easton center amid its historical, cultural, and natural resources, officials said. Winners will receive cash prizes.
