Tech ‘petting zoo’ at library

Scituate Town Library will host a “tech petting zoo” on March 12 from 1:30 to 7:30 p.m. to show locals how to use technology. People with knowledge of everything from iPhones and iPads to Kindles and Macs will explain how to use these devices and answer questions. Library staff will also have devices on hand for presentations. “It’s just the most recent addition to an ongoing Tech 101 series we created last year,” said Peter Struzziero, head of teen services at the library, who is directing the program. “I suppose it is us becoming more tech-friendly, though. We’ve been working with computers and e-reading devices for years, but library services incorporate technology more and more each year.”
