Kingston Selectman Casna to run for reelection

Kingston Selectman Joe Casna took all the time allowed to him by local election rules to decide whether to run for reelection before deciding last week to take out nomination papers for the post. Casna, who last month said that spending long hours on town business was having a negative impact on his business and personal life, has concluded that the satisfaction derived from serving the town outweighs the negative. “You can’t put a price on it,” Casna said. Plenty of other candidates are seeking that satisfaction as well, including Finance Committee member David Kennedy and former police chief Joe Rebello, who have returned their papers with signatures and will be on the April 27 ballot. Other potential candidates who took out nomination papers for the seat are Elaine Fiore, Norman Harbinson, and Sam Cappola.
