The Board of Selectmen on Tuesday is set to name a search committee to help select a new town administrator. The board voted recently to form the committee, which will consist of a selectman, another elected official, and three citizens at large. Anyone interested in filling the four seats other than the selectmen’s representative can submit an application by Monday. Applications are available on the town’s website, www.hanson-ma.gov. Hanson’s current administrator, Rene Read, plans to resign after completion of the annual Town Meeting in early May and will become town manager in Duxbury. Hanson has advertised the administrator’s job, and is accepting applications through March 29 for the position. The posted salary range is $90,000 to $110,000.
