Letter: Fuller Craft Museum deserves the attention

I want to thank you for the great article regarding the Fuller Craft Museum (“Brockton’s Fuller Craft Museum offers ‘Dark Garden’ tour,” March 14). It is an extraordinary place, and you successfully conveyed that information to a largely unknowing population.

Our family lived in Brockton for more than two decades when it was the “shoe city of the nation” and long after that industry left the United States. It was a wonderful place to “grow a family,” and the Fuller Museum (then a contemporary museum) was a part of all that we enjoyed. It sits on the border of D.W. Field Park, which is truly a mini-Golden Gate Park.

Currently the only craft museum in New England, the Fuller Craft Museum deserves all the attention it can get. You have participated in that role, and many of us are deeply appreciative. Unfortunately, most will not take the time to thank you for your attention to this “little diamond in Brockton.”
