Eleven-year-old Griffin Lincoln of Canton will join New England Patriots tight end Rob Gronkowski and many others who will cut off their hair in support of cancer treatment. A part of the third annual “Kid’s Cancer Buzz-Off,” which will be held at Gillette Stadium on June 9, Lincoln will be helping the more than 10,000 children expected to be diagnosed with cancer in the US this year, according to a press release from One Mission, a childhood cancer foundation that is organizing the event. Griffin decided to get involved after losing his grandfather to cancer. In its three years of existence, the Buzz-Off has raised nearly $1 million to benefit Boston Children’s Hospital’s pediatric cancer patients and their families, One Mission said.
