Dedham police welcomed their newest member at a selectmen’s meeting earlier this month. Steven Munchbach, son of retired officer Arthur Munchbach, was sworn in by his cousin, Town Clerk Paul Munchbach. “He is exactly the type of person we are looking for,” Dedham Police Chief Michael d’Entremont said at the meeting, adding that Munchbach graduated second in his class of 57 at the police academy. Munchbach himself expressed gratitude to selectmen and said he wished his twin brother, who is now deployed overseas, could have seen his swearing in.
