The search committee for a new principal of Avon Middle High School has narrowed the field to three finalists from the 61 who applied for the job, according to Paul Zinni, director of pupil services for the district. Zinni said the finalists, whose names have not been made public, will be reviewed by the superintendent, who hopes to name someone to replace retiring Principal Sharon Hansen by April. Hansen is in her eighth year as head of the school and will retire on June 30, Zinni said.
