Planning board to discuss solar field proposal

The West Bridgewater planning board will meet to address concerns raised by East Street residents about a proposed solar panel field on April 17 at town hall, 65 N. Main St. The East Street Neighborhood Association opposes the field, put forth by Boston-based Citizens Energy, a nonprofit founded by former US Representative Joe Kennedy. Residents say they are concerned with ground-water protection issues. The group met earlier with the zoning board, which is considering hiring an engineering firm to research the water protection issues.
