Police seek help tracking explosives

Officials are asking citizens to contact police or fire officials if they know who is behind a series of homemade explosives detonated near Route 53 in recent weeks. On March 12, witness reports of bright flashes and loud explosions led police to Pine Street and Tower Hill Drive; a state police bomb squad detonated unexploded devices found at the location. On March 15, firefighters responded to a report of an explosion at the nearby intersection of Hearthstone and Fieldstone lanes, but no devices were found, according to the Hanover Fire Department.
