Restaurant license suspended for over-serving

A Westwood restaurant found to have overserved alcohol to two patrons in January has had its license suspended for three days. Victoria’s Cucina Italiana will be banned from serving liquor on a Tuesday yet to be named, the same day the infraction occurred, while the other two days will be held in abeyance, selectmen said. If the establishment experiences any other alcohol-related issues, officials said, the license would be again suspended on a Friday and Saturday night, two of the busiest days in the food and beverage industry. The incident occurred on Jan. 22 when town police were called to the High Street eatery to help defuse a pair of belligerent customers who were later found to have consumed a handful of cocktails each.
