Annual Spring Town Meeting will be held April 22 at 7 p.m. at Wareham High School. There are 31 articles on the warrant. Voters will get to decide whether to appropriate $397,000 to buy textbooks (in either print or digital form) and fund school technology infrastructure. Another article asks to place a temporary one-year moratorium on medical marijuana treatment centers. The Community Preservation Committee put forth several articles, including a request to appropriate $100,000 to restore and preserve a historic chimney tower at British Landing Condominiums & Yacht Clubat 53 Main St.; another $50,000 to rehab and place an affordable housing restriction on the Cranberry Manor apartment complex at 2220 Cranberry Highway; and $30,000 to evaluate playgrounds and open space parcels in town.
