Wednesday is the deadline to register to vote in two elections and Norton Town Meeting this spring, according to Town Clerk Danielle Sicard. On April 30, there will be the primary election for US Senate and the town, and Town Meeting takes place on May 13. Contested races include those for Board of Selectmen and School Committee. Selectmen Robert W. Kimball Jr. and Robert S. Salvo Sr. are running in a three-way contest with George W. Gillis for two seats. For School Committee, two seats have four candidates: incumbent Andrew Mackie, Valerie A. Desmond, Mark C. Powers, and Daniel L. Sheedy. The clerk’s office will stay open until 8 p.m. on Wednesday for voter registration. Polling for the April 30 elections takes place at Norton High School; polls will be open from 6 a.m. to 8 p.m.
