Mayor’s Youth Summit starts Thursday

Registration is open for the 14th Annual Mayor’s Youth Summit on Thursday from 2 to 7:30 p.m. in the Azure Building at Brockton High School. The event is free and open to city youths ages 13 to 21. This year’s themes focus on Brockton’s five promises, according to Mayor Linda Balzotti: caring adults, safe places, a healthy start, effective education, and the opportunity to serve. Dinner will be provided, along with music and prizes. Online registration is available, or forms that can be picked up at any Brockton Public Library branch or school. “There’s no better way to bring together hundreds of young people from across the city than this event,” Balzotti said in a press release.
