Lee Baumgartner, a retired technical services manager, defeated two-term incumbent Jean Fox for a seat on the Board of Selectmen in this month’s town election. On a vote of 625 to 371, Baumgartner bested Fox, who is the manager for South Coast Rail project, which will restore rail transportation from South Station in Boston to areas south of the city. Baumgartner told voters he plans to work closely with town and school officials to create policies that benefit the community.
