Selectmen recently voted unanimously to extend Town Administrator Michael Boynton’s contract through June 30, 2017, and give him a raise. The new contract incorporates his current one, which runs unchanged through June 30, 2014, and adds three more years, according to Selectmen chairman Mark Gallivan. Boynton will earn $143,000 starting July 1, 2014, and his salary will go up in increments to $155,540, in the final contract year, Gallivan said. “We think Mike is doing a great job and wanted to lock him in for another three years,” Gallivan said. “He’s been with us for 11 years, so he really understands the town and how it works, and the people.”
