The Police Department was awarded a $3,000 grant from the state Executive Office of Public Safety and Security’s Highway Safety Division to improve traffic safety. The grant, which runs through Sept. 30, will allow the department to develop and enhance efforts to reduce fatalities and injuries through enforcement of traffic laws governing pedestrians, bicyclists, and motorists.
