Events to help students adjust to new school configurations


The School Committee has set the schedule for events involving the school reorganization process and orientation for students who will be moving into the new East Bridgewater Junior-Senior High School next month. On Aug. 19, the new school orientation will be held for members of the Student Senate. From Aug. 20-22, tours of the new building will be held at 10 a.m., 1 p.m., and 6 p.m. On Aug. 23, students in grades 7 to 12 can pick up course schedules. Grade 7 orientation will be held Aug. 26 from 7 to 9 p.m., and Grade 8 orientation on Aug. 27 from 7 to9 p.m. On Aug. 28, there will be a grades K-2 open house at 5 p.m.; a grades 3-4 open house from 4:45 to 6 p.m.; and a Grade 9 orientation from 7 to 9 p.m. The first day of school for all students will be Aug. 29 and there will be no school on Aug. 30.
