Placards replace stickers as parking passes

A new parking pass placard system in town has taken the place of the traditional sticker system. Placards, which are hung from a vehicle’s rearview mirror and cost $10 per season, are available for residents at Town Hall with proof of current vehicle registration. Nonresident property owners must provide proof of property ownership, and year-round renters must provide a valid lease. Also new this year is a guest parking pass, for use by resident family members and summer renters, for $35 each. Passes are required for parking at Town Landing, Shining Tides Beach, Hiller’s Cove Beach, Town Beach and Town Wharf. For information, call the treasurer/collector’s office at 508-758-4100, ext. 1.
