Fire chief appointed

The Randolph Fire Department has hired Richard Donovan as chief of operations, a position created recently after a department study. Donovan is a department veteran who most recently served as deputy chief. The Town Council approved the creation of the position in March, following a study that determined the need for more structure in the department’s administration. The town will also be hiring three firefighters following Town Council’s approval of the fiscal 2014 budget last month.
