Principal retires after four years

Greenlodge Elementary School principal Katherine Kiewlicz has retired after four years with the Dedham public schools. She will be replaced by Philip Banios, who was assistant principal of Pine Hill Elementary School in Sherborn. Kiewlicz spearheaded an effort to get the school’s new logo painted on the gym wall. The logo spells out the school rules in the acronym REACH – Respect always, Excel academically, Act Responsibly, Care for others, Honest and trustworthy – and was produced by local Dedham artist Peter Reynolds. Banios previously was a principal in Bedford, an assistant principal in Groveland, and a teacher in the second and fifth grades.
