The former Chili’s restaurant location on Route 53 is on track to reopen as Plaza Azteca in three or four weeks, according to a representative of the restaurant chain. Chili’s closed its doors in January, and the new Plaza Azteca is about 80 percent complete with the interior renovations, said Manuel Rubio, the company’s New England marketing director. A liquor license was received on July 15, said Rubio, who called Hingham a “great town.” This will be the third Plaza Azteca in the state, following restaurants in Methuen and Worcester. The Connecticut-based chain hopes to open 50 more locations in the next 10 years across New England, Rubio said.
