Mall foot path opens


A foot path around the four-acre pond at the Mansfield Crossing mall officially opened to the public last week, and in August, free family-friendly movies will be shown at dusk on Tuesdays. “We’re hoping the green spaces can be a gathering place for the community,” said Carolyn Kennedy, an official of the mall’s owner, WS Development. Kennedy said the mall worked with town officials to design outdoor spaces at the mall, and she is working with Mass Audubon to find ways for visitors to enjoy birds at the area.
