Barrett’s adding ‘The Cell’ to Haunted Fun

Barrett’s Haunted Mansion will include a second attraction this fall, as work continues on “The Cell.” Mary Barrett, owner and designer of the new building, said it will have a prison theme, but wouldn’t give much away, even though, she joked, most people won’t see much of it since their eyes will be shut. The new building is being constructed on what had been a miniature golf course, she said, and will be ready for the Sept. 20 season start. Tickets this year are being increased to $23, from $18, but will include the new attraction, she said. Also, she said there will be a special on Thursdays featuring a ticket to the Haunted Mansion and the Cell, along with a meal at the Abington Ale House, located on the same property at 1235 Bedford St.
