Norton Town Meeting set

Monday is the deadline for submitting proposed warrant articles for the Oct. 7 fall Annual Town Meeting. The last day to register to vote for the Town Meeting is Sept 17. Among the items to be considered are appropriations to study the potential removal of invasive weeds from the town’s bodies of water and to carry out the cleanup, according to Town Administrator Michael Yunits. He said the town would like to do the work all at one time, hopefully next spring. Town Meeting will also likely take up some adjustments to the budgets of individual departments based on a review of spending and revenues this fiscal year.
