After a recent spate of drug overdoses, several anti-drug organizations and town officials are teaming up to sponsor “Save a Life: Overdose Prevention” this Wednesday from 7 to 8:30 p.m. at the Stoughton Senior Center/Youth Commission Building, 110 Rockland St. In July, there were three fatal heroin or other opiate-related overdoses in Stoughton and nine overdoses that were not fatal. Stephanie Patton of the group Organizing Against Substances in Stoughton said the workshop will cover what is happening in town; ways to prevent overdoses; overdose intervention; and how to use Narcan, an overdose reversal drug. Those interested in child care can contact Patton at spatton@stoughton-ma.gov.
