Incoming kindergartners and their parents are invited to “Starting-to-School Story Time” on Aug. 27 and 28 at the Raynham Public Library. The program, which the library presents in partnership with the School Department, is “focused on calming the first-day-of-school jitters for both parents and children,” said Eden Fergusson, the town’s library director. The event includes reading stories about what children can expect on the first day of school and watching a video on that topic. There will also be arts and crafts time, and juice and snacks will be provided. To allow for small groups, the library is offering the program three times: on Aug. 27 at 6:30 p.m., and on Aug. 28 at 10:30 a.m. and 6:30 p.m. The sessions are free and open to all, but families are asked to pre-register by going to the library’s website, raynhampubliclibrary.org, and clicking on “Coming Events.”
