Sharon tops list of best places to live

Sharon has been named America’s best place to live by Money magazine. In Money’s rankings for small towns, Sharon came out on top for its easy commuting distance to Boston and Providence, the beauty and recreational opportunities of Lake Massapoag, the quality of the public schools, and its diversity, among other factors. Money looked at 1,326 towns with populations between 10,000 and 50,000. It screened out communities where median family income was more than 200 percent or less than 85 percent of the state average, and then evaluated diversity, education, crime, economic factors, and more. The magazine visited 36 finalists before making Sharon its top choice. To view the list of best places to live, visit money.cnn.com/magazines/moneymag/best-places/index.html.
