A groundbreaking ceremony was held last Tuesday at the future site of the Cape Cod Five Cents Savings Bank at Rosebook Place, A.D. Makepeace Co.’s mixed-use development near the intersection of interstates 495 and 195. The 12,000-square-foot building will also house a coffee shop and office space. It was designed by Brown Lindquist Fenuccio & Raber Architects of Yarmouthport, and is being built by J.K. Scanlan Co. of East Falmouth. Among those attending the event were Michael P. Hogan, president and CEO of A.D. Makepeace; Dorothy A. Savarese, president and CEO of the bank; state Representative Susan Williams Gifford; and Peter Teitelbaum, chairman of Wareham’s Board of Selectmen. The bank building is scheduled to be completed by next spring.
