Brockton Day Nursery and Catholic Charities South are teaming up to offer a free, five-week computer literacy program. The course will be held at 169 Court St. in Brockton, beginning Sept. 19 from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. It will cover the basics from Microsoft Word and Excel, to use of the Internet for research. Classes are funded by the United Way of Greater Plymouth County. An information session is planned on Sept. 10 at 6 p.m. at the nursery school at 243 Crescent St., where applications will be accepted. There are 12 spots available. Those who attend the class must commit to all five classes, officials said. For more information, contact Brittanie Hansbury at bhansbury@brocktondaynursery.org, or by calling 508-588-2700, ext 29.
