Joint facility considered

A committee is being formed to explore the possibility of creating a joint town hall and library, both of which are currently located in old buildings needing repair. The new joint facility could be built at the site of the current town hall on Main Street, but other locations will be considered, said Town Administrator Jim Boudreau. The committee will have five to seven members including representatives from the Board of Library Trustees and the Permanent Building Maintenance Committee. Also serving on the committee will be Boudreau or his designee and two to four at-large members who will be appointed by selectmen. The committee will review past studies and give updates to selectmen periodically.
