A public information session on the need and the possible plans to install air conditioning at Town Hall will be held at 7 p.m. Thursday in Town Hall. “We have part of the money we need, but not all, said Town Administrator Frank Lynam. Lynam said the town earlier approved $500,000 for the work but bids came in at $700,000. Plans to ask residents to approve the difference were delayed when a Special Town Meeting failed to attract a quorum last month. Lynam said the walls, ceilings, and paint at Town Hall have been severely stressed by hot summer temperatures, forcing the town to make extensive repairs.
