Schools plan ahead


The Silver Lake Regional School District is seeking the public’s opinions as school officials begin developing a strategic plan for the next three to five years. Officials said the plan is intended to promote improvements in administration, staff, and student performance. Officials from Kingston, which makes up the regional district with Halifax and Plymouth, will hold their first Strategic Plan Focus Group meeting on Monday from 6 to 7 p.m. at Kingston Intermediate School. Silver Lake district officials will hold their first focus group meeting on Wednesday at Silver Lake Regional Middle School in Kingston from 6 to 7 p.m. Officials said the development of a strategic plan is expected to take three to four months.
