Still no alcohol at restaurant

One of the eight establishments identified in a police sting for serving alcoholic drinks to minors this summer has not yet resumed serving alcohol. The Chipotle Mexican Grill at 287 School St. has not been able to serve beer and wine since selectmen voted on Aug. 28 to reprimand the restaurant. At the hearing, an acting manager told the board that the manager had left the week before. “Chipotle has not as of yet gotten a manager of record, and we continue to do daily compliance checks,” Police Chief Ronald A. Sellon said in an e-mail. Town Manager William R. Ross said the restaurant will have to make an application to the town for a new manager and go before selectmen. Ross said that the town will also need to see proof that all workers who serve alcoholic beverages have received proper alcohol training and certification.
