Fall pot luck meal

Residents are invited to take part in a fall community pot luck meal on Sunday. The event, free and open to all townspeople, is being organized by Green Hanson, a local nonprofit that promotes healthy environmental practices in town. It will be held from 4 to 6 p.m. at the home of the Santalucia family at 517 W. Washington St. In addition to the individual dishes brought by participants, the communal feast will include a “stone soup.” Those with gardens are invited to contribute an item to the soup. The event will also include a bonfire for toasting marshmallows. The supper is a no-waste event, so attendees are asked to bring their own utensils, bowls, and cups. For more information, contact Teresa Santalucia at 781-447-3192, or e-mail greenhanson@gmail.com.
