Holiday fair: Our Lady of Lourdes Church will hold its free annual Jingle Bell Fair on Friday from 4 to 8 p.m. and Saturday from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. There will be crafters, home baked goods, raffles, luncheon, and more. A visit from Santa will be on Saturday from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. 508-866-4000.


Writers conference: The 12th annual New England Crime Bake will be at the Boston Hilton-Dedham from Friday to Sunday. Mystery writers and fans are welcome. Calling young artists: Young crafters ages 9 to 19 are wanted for the Holiday Arts and Crafts Fair at Duxbury High School on Dec. 7. Children and teens are invited to sell their creations of photography, paintings, woodworking, accessories, and jewelry. Sign-up is $30. Register at
