AD Kenney returns home

Tom Kenney, who spent 30 years in the East Bridgewater schools as a physical education teacher and coach, has returned as athletic director at East Bridgewater Junior-Senior High. Kenney, an Easton resident, became athletic director and coordinator of physical education at Brockton High in 2008, serving in that role until retiring in 2011. “The first few weeks back have been heartwarming,” said Kenney. “They’ve rekindled memories of my time in East Bridgewater. Each hour brings a call from a former colleague.” He said he has reconnected with longtime track coach George McCabe, now chairman of the East Bridgewater School Committee. Kenney thanked Superintendent of Schools John Moretti and high school principal Paul Vieira “for the opportunity to serve the students and families of East Bridgewater again.”
