Veterans Day observances

The Braintree Veterans Council will host its annual Veterans Day Observance Nov. 11 at 10:30 a.m at the East Middle School. The observance, which is open the public, will be attended by Mayor Joseph Sullivan and other elected officials. US Army Staff Sergeant Timothy Chapman will deliver the keynote address, while the Braintree High School Choir and Chamber singers will perform music. Coffee and doughnuts will be available before the event. The town’s Department of Elder Affairs will also mark Veterans Day, welcoming veterans and a guest to a celebration and breakfast this Wednesday at 8:30 a.m. at the Braintree Senior Center. The free event will feature food cooked by local Rotarians.
