Xaverian Brothers High School held a groundbreaking ceremony last Monday to officially launch the work on campus improvements. The Campus Master Plan for expansion began in May and includes the addition of a seventh- and eighth-grade program and a 32,500-square-foot Scholastic and Wellness Center. While work on the varsity track and field is complete, construction on the addition has just begun and will include a classroom wing with science labs. Additional athletic facilities and fields are also under construction, according to spokeswoman Julie Barr. Brother Daniel Skala, the school’s headmaster, said he and the board of trustees are happy with the progress of the construction project. “We’re looking forward to welcoming our inaugural seventh-grade class next fall, who will benefit from all of the new strategic initiatives,” he said.
