Letter: Also disappointed by vulgar antics

Beverly Beckham’s column hit me (“Even ‘liberated’ women still trapped in roles,” Feb. 2). Heck, I’m a guy, and I’m disappointed, if not disgusted, by the likes of Beyonce, Miley, etc.

Of course, their perspective is cynical because it’s all about money and being noticed. . . which brings me to my second reason for disappointment: those who fawn over people whose vulgar antics are nothing but an exercise to be noticed.

I say hopefully that “Build it and they will come” might be rephrased as “Ignore them and they will go away!”
