Changes are in store for many of the younger students in the Wareham Public Schools. According to school officials, the East Wareham Early Childhood Center is slated to be closed for the 2014-15 school year, and the plan is for students in pre-K, kindergarten, and first grade to go to the Minot Forest Elementary School, and students in grades 2, 3, and 4 will attend the John W. Decas Elementary School. This reconfiguration plan will be discussed at two open forums, the first Tuesday at Minot Forest, the other Feb. 25 at the Decas school. Both meetings start at 6:30 p.m., and parents, staff, and residents are invited to attend to learn more about these upcoming changes.
