The second phase of the town’s master plan process continues Monday night when the Stoughton Master Plan Committee sponsors an economic development forum from 6 to 8:30 p.m. at the Senior/Youth Center, 110 Rockland St. Focus groups have already identified areas where the town did well and areas where the town could improve, such the physical condition of the schools, traffic congestion, and overall public perception of the town. In the second phase, residents are being asked to help carry out those goals. The forum also will review strategies for strengthening the town’s economy. Public comment from residents, business and property owners will be welcomed. Light refreshments will be served. In addition, child care will be provided on a first-come basis and transportation for seniors and the disabled will also be available by contacting Karen Hall, director of the Council on Aging and Stoughton Youth Commission at 781-344-8882. More information on the overall master plan and its goals is available from town planner Noreen O’Toole at 781-341-1300 et. 9201 or at
