Town website redesigned, more user-friendly

The town website,, has been redesigned and updated. The site was mainly text driven; it now has buttons that display menus of departments and committees, links to information about elections, applications for business licenses, and other options. The home page features news items, event listings, and recently uploaded documents. Town Manager Michael Dutton said in an interview that ever since he arrived in Bridgewater a little more than a year ago, people have complained that the website was cumbersome, not visually pleasing, and did not have enough timely information. He said it should now be more user-friendly and easier for town employees to manage. Much of the work was done in-house, but the town spent about $5,000 for a local contractor to do graphics and photos, he said.
