Norton Democrats will hold a caucus on Saturday to elect delegates and alternates to the 2014 Democratic State Convention. The event, set for 10:30 a.m. at the public library, is being organized by the Norton Democratic Town Committee, but any town resident who was registered as a Democrat as of Jan. 31 is eligible to attend and run to be one of the seven delegates and three alternates to be chosen at the caucus. Barbara Kaplan, the committee chairwoman, said the primary business of the convention, set for June 13-14 at the DCU Center in Worcester, will be the endorsement of Democratic candidates in this year’s election for governor and other statewide offices. Kaplan also said the committee welcomes Democrats who are interested in joining the group to attend its monthly meetings. For more information, contact her at 508-622-0008.
