First Hanson Day planned


The town has chosen June 8 as the date for the first-ever Hanson Day, which is intended to bring together organizations, businesses, and residents to celebrate the town and highlight what it has to offer. Athletic and civic organizations, businesses, churches, and schools are welcome to set up tables to highlight their activities, and nonprofit groups will be able to raise money by selling food items. The town is also looking for groups to sponsor fun activities that day, such as rock climbing, a disc jockey, or a bounce house. The event is an initiative of Town Administrator Ron San Angelo and the Recreation Commission. “This is great because we want to bring all the people of Hanson together,” San Angelo said in an interview, adding that he hopes the celebration will become an annual event.
