The Plymouth Area League of Women Voters will host an informational forum to discuss gun control legislation April 23 from 7 to 8:30 p.m. at the Plymouth Public Library. Guest speakers will include Plymouth Police Chief Michael E. Botieri and Rachel Lewis of the Massachusetts Coalition to Prevent Gun Violence. The League of Women Voters receives inquiries about gun control legislation on a regular basis, especially since the tragic school shooting in Newtown, Conn., according to League member Deanna Nealey. She said the purpose of the event is to educate voters about pending legislation in Massachusetts and inform them of their rights and responsibilities concerning firearms. The forum will take place in the main library at 132 South St. in the Otto Fehlow Room.
